Kristin Kreuk

Birthdate: December 30, 1982
Birthplace: Vancouver, Canada.

The carefree daughter of a Dutch father and Chinese mother, Kristin proceeded through her schooling as an unassuming yet attention-getting girl. She enjoyed acting classes, but was not serious about the trade. That is, until a casting director faxed every high school in British Columbia about a casting call for the CBC series Edgemont. Kreuk entered and filled the final spot in the series' cast. Since Edgemont is filmed in Vancouver, Kristin stayed at her parents' house as her star rose. Her character is the mysterious pretty girl from out of town and she is one of the favorites on the semi-melodrama.
Not to be deterred by the pressures of success and hard work, Kristin attended another audition for a Vancouver-based television program: the Warner Bros. series Smallville, which details the young life of Clark Kent/Superman. She was cast as Lana Lang, the gorgeous, popular cheerleader-type girl . Since taking on another popular show, Kristin has done nothing but flex her unwavering acting muscle.
Shooting two shows concurrently has left Kristin little time to pursue other projects. She has had to postpone plans to study psychology and forensic science at Simon Fraser University. Recently, Kristin played the title role in a made-for-TV version of Snow White and became a spokesmodel for Neutrogena skin care products.

Jessica Alba

Birthdate: April 28, 1981
Birthplace: Pomona, California

Jessica’s family moved to Biloxi, Mississippi while Jessica was very young. Her father, who was in the Air Force, moved the family to Del Rio, Texas, later. Eventually, the family settled in southern California when Jessica was nine. Jessica had always wanted to be an actress from the age of five. She took her first acting class at the age of 12. Shortly later, Jessica was signed by an agency.

In 1993, Jessica made her movie debut in Camp Nowhere. She was originally hired for a short time but got lucky when one of the main actresses dropped out. Jessica, who had the same color hair as the actress, eagerly took over the spot. After her first movie, Jessica appeared in two commercials for Nintendo and J.C. Penny and a few independent films. In 1994, she landed a reoccurring role in "The Secret World of Alex Mac."

She played a snob who made life hard for the main character with magical powers. Also in 1994, she landed the role of Maya for a pilot of "Flipper." Jessica spent 1995 filming the first season of "Flipper" in Australia. Jessica is a PADI-certified diver and the "Flipper" show allowed her to have fun and play with the dolphins. The success of the first season of "Flipper" lead to the filming of the second season, which Jessica also starred in. Jessica involvement in "Flipper" lasted from 1995-1997. Since "Flipper" Jessica has appeared in a number of television shows and movies. In 1996, Jessica appeared in Venus Rising as Young Eve.

Also in 1996, she appeared in an episode of "Chicago Hope", as Maria. In 1997, Jessica appeared on the "Dini Petty Show", a Canadian talk show, and talked about her role in Flipper and her general acting career. She began working on P.U.N.K.S., featuring Randy Quaid, in 1998. P.U.N.K.S. was just recently released on video in early January, 1999. In 1998, Jessica appeared in several TV shows for an episode or two. In early 1998, she appeared in "Brooklyn South", as Melissa. A few months later, she appeared in two episodes of "Beverly Hills 90210", as Leanne. And finally, she appeared in an episode of "Love Boat: The Next Wave." In 1999 she appeared a huge number of magazines. She had a small role in Never Been Kissed which was released in the Spring. A month later she could be found with a larger role in Idle Hands. Her two performances in those movies started a buzz in the entertainment industry. Many more magazines would come knocking on her door. Shortly after the release of those two movies, she landed the starring role in Paranoia. She finished filming Paranoia in June. The movie is in post-production now.

Shortly later she started working on what will potentially be her biggest work ever. She auditioned for the leading role in Dark Angel. She caught the eye of James Cameron and will now star in the post anticipated TV show of 2000, Dark Angel. With the huge success of Dark Angel and its legion of fans, Jessica will no longer be a rising star, she will be among the hollywood elite, a star. Jessica made a comeback in 2003 with the title role in Honey. In 2005 she appeared opposite Bruce Willis in the movie "Sin City", the down-and-dirty feature-film version of Frank Miller's popular graphic novels. Alba played Nancy, a stripper with a tortured past who's about as close to innocence as it gets in a grisly black-and-white world.

Jessica Simpson

Birthdate: July 10, 1980
Birthplace: Dallas, Texas
Growing up in the small town of Richardson, her life was textbook happy. Her father Joe was a psychologist who also served as youth minister in the local Baptist church. With this background, it was only normal for young Jessica to participate in church activities and so she sang in the choir. Such was her gift that at the age of 12, she auditioned for The Mickey Mouse Club. When she reached the finals, she froze, choking completely. Unfortunately, she didn't get the job; Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera were luckier. Nevertheless, this experience served as an important life lesson for Jessica.

She returned to Richardson and bit into the Christian music she had been brought up with. Before long, small label Proclaim Records noticed her voice and offered to record an album. She recorded a number of gospel songs but just as they were angling for a release date, the label went bankrupt. Not about to give up in the face of adversity, Joe (now her manager) took his daughter on the road, where they worked the Christian Youth Concert circuit. Jessica sang and then sold her home-recorded album after performances. This was a winning formula and while she was still in junior high, Jessica was performing with famous gospel acts like Kirk Franklin and Ce Ce Winans. Word spread about Simpson and her record sold like hotcakes. More importantly, it wasn't only Christian music fans who got into her music; pop lovers everywhere were being charmed by her voice. This was just the encouragement Jessica needed to pursue a middle-of-the-road pop music career. Sure enough, news of Jessica's success reached important people in the industry. Tommy Mottola of Columbia Records/Sony Music was one of them and he was stunned by Simpson's voice and skills.

Mottola believed she had the talent to reach mainstream audiences. Still, Jessica made it clear that she would only be onboard if she could maintain her identity. Luckily, Mottola understood what she believed in and supported her decision. After signing up with the music giant, her debut album Sweet Kisses was released in 1999, giving way to the singles "I Wanna Love You Forever" and "I Think I'm In Love With You." She then hit the road and showed audiences worldwide what the Jessica Simpson craze was all about. She joined boy band 98 Degrees for the tour and it didn't take long for her to fall in love with one of its members, Nick Lachey. Their budding romance only helped the release of their duet, "Where You Are," off Sweet Kisses. In June 2001, her sophomore album Irresistible was released. The title track was a smash hit and it went as high as No. 3 on the Top 40 mainstream chart. After some remixes, her third record In This Skin was released in August 2003. However, Jessica Simpson's life was about to take a drastic turn.
jessica and nick on newlyweds
After a short breakup, Jessica and Nick finally got married in October 2002 (which meant that they could finally consummate their union...) and the celebrity marriage had rejoiced gossip columnists everywhere. As a result, MTV offered the couple a reality show based on their everyday life as a couple, much like The Osbournes. The deal was struck and August 2003 marked the debut of Newlyweds: Nick & Jessica. Although the show overshadowed Simpson's new album, it became an incredible hit and it was picked up for second and third seasons. Since the world can't seem to get enough of their goofy antics, the couple was offered a TV variety special reminiscent of The Sonny and Cher Show.

In 2005, Jessica Simpson was seen donning sexy "Daisy Dukes" in the film version of The Dukes of Hazzard. She also released a remake of Nancy Sinatra's "These Boots Are Made For Walking." In November 2005, Nick and Jessica made their plans to divorce public. No official reason has been disclosed, but we have no doubt that Jessica's career will only continue to bloom.

Rachel McAdams

Birthdate: October 7,1976
Birthplace: Ontario, Canada
Thin, blonde, and possessing the sort of stylish, model-esque good looks that wouldn't be out of place in the glossy pages of Vogue, actress Rachel McAdams got her start on Canadian television before graduating to Hollywood features. Though McAdams' early screen roles found her specializing in the bitchy teen princess to maximum effect, closer inspection reveals a skilled dramatic actress who no doubt has the talent to move beyond the high-school trappings of such comedies as The Hot Chick and Mean Girls.Born to a truck driver and a nurse in London, Ontario, Canada, McAdams warmed to the spotlight early on by taking up competitive skating at just four years old. Though she would remain on the ice well into her teens, the toll of constant competition eventually frazzled her nerves, and she soon began gravitating toward the stage. Beginning in summer theater camp at the age of 13, the burgeoning actress' smooth handling of Shakespeare eventually led her to enroll in theater studies at York University. In the years that followed, McAdams' comfort on the stage translated exceptionally well to the screen, and a role as a bulimic teen in the popular Disney series The Famous Jett Jackson found the rising starlet making an impressive small-screen debut. In 1995, she received an acting award for her role in the one-act high school play I Live in a Little Town when it was presented at the prestigious Ontario Showcase at the Sears Drama Festival.Supporting roles in such television series as Shotgun Love Dolls and made-for-TV features such as Guilt by Association were quick to follow. After climbing the credits to make her feature debut in My Name is Tanino, McAdams was nominated for a Genie award (the Canadian equivalent of an Oscar) for her performance in 2002's Perfect Pie. The film, which cast her as a small-town girl whose best friend makes the big time by becoming a celebrated opera singer, provided McAdams with her breakout role, and she soon set her sights on Hollywood. Her bags packed for the trip west and stars shining in her eyes, the talented McAdams soon caught the eyes of studio heavies and was cast as a popular but excruciatingly cruel high-school teen who learns a hard lesson in The Hot Chick. McAdams made a move to weekly television in 2003 with a supporting role in Slings and Arrows before once again returning to torment the unpopular crowd in 2004's Mean Girls. A big-screen adaptation of Rosalind Wiseman's popular book Queen Bees and Wannabes, the film was also notable as the screenwriting debut of Saturday Night Live writer/cast member Tina Fey. Moving away from the cruel halls of high school, McAdams next appeared opposite Ryan Gosling in The Notebook, the feature adaptation of author Nicholas Sparks' top-selling novel. A romantic drama concerning a young couple separated by war, The Notebook found McAdams in a notably more sympathetic role.

Emma Watson

Birthdate: April 15, 1990
Birthplace: Oxfordshire, England

At school, she took the lead role in several plays, including ‘Arthur: The Young Years’ and ‘The Happy Prince’.Along with plays, Emma participated in many other school productions, including the Daisy Pratt Poetry Competition, in which she won first place for her year at age seven.Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001), is Emma's debut into the world of professional acting. Competing against many other girls for the role of Hermione Granger, she didn't expect to get the part. Away from the cinematic world, Emma enjoys playing hockey most of all, and she also likes debating. Although her hair is brown in the movie, she's naturally a blonde. She once dressed up as a witch for Halloween, but she had no idea that years later, she would be playing one in the Harry Potter movie. Her parents, Jacqueline, 43, a lawyer and Chris, who is also a lawyer, are divorced. Emma lives with her mother and younger brother Alex, 8.

Lindsay Lohan

Birthdate: July 2, 1986
Birthplace: New York City

Lindsay Lohan's Rockin' Family

Lindsay Lohan's not the only member of her family to try her luck in the entertainment business. Her mom, Dina Lohan, is a former Radio City Rockette and Lindsay's dad made millions in the pasta business before going Hollywood by financing independent films.
Lindsay Lohan's Fast Food Fame

Before Lindsay Lohan got caught in the Parent Trap, she appeared in more than 60 TV commercials for brands like Jell-O, Pizza Hut and Wendy's. Lindsay Lohan then went on to land a role cheesier than a stuffed-crust pizza - playing Alli Fowler on the soap opera Another World.
Lindsay Lohan's Split Personality

Lindsay Lohan scored - not one - but two leading roles playing twins in the 1998 remake of the classic Disney movie, The Parent Trap. Not satisfied with just remaking one retro Disney movie, Lindsay Lohan remade another. Lohan also stars in Freaky Friday with Jamie Lee Curtis.
Lindsay Lohan - Big Screen Star

Lindsay has been pumping out movies faster than J. Lo's been pumping out ex-husbands. In 2004, Lindsay starred in two flicks - Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen and Means Girls. Drama Queen is about a self-absorbed girl named Lola (played by Lindsay Lohan) who gets a dose of reality when her family moves from NYC to the 'burbs and Lola realizes the world doesn't actually revolve around her (how strange!). In Mean Girls, Lindsay is the new kid in town who is tortured by the mean girls at school. But she quickly gives them a taste of their own medicine.
In 2005 Lindsay lights up the big screen once again in Disney re-make number three - Herbie: Fully Loaded. Lindsay is also working on several other projects due out in the next year or two, including the flick A Prairie Home Companion where she will play Meryl Streep's daughter.
